Amoureux éperdu de la princesse du Royaume, un troubadour vient sous le balcon de la belle chanter sa romance en dialecte liégeois. Mais le sous-titre du film insensible à la guimauve de l’interprète et exacerbé par les paroles niaiseuses de la chanson se rebelle. Il prend vie, perturbe la beauté de la scène avant de succomber lui-même au charme de la princesse. Les deux prétendants se lancent alors dans une lutte féroce.
